It is a quality measurement and improvement program originally developed by Motorola that focuses on the control of a process to the point of ± six sigma (standard deviations) from a centerline, or put another way, 3.4 defects per million items. A Six Sigma systematic quality program provides businesses with the tools to improve the capability of the business processes.

Kuslava had started implementing these techniques in 2002.The company had 5 Black belts and 14 Green Belts. And it was awarded twice for its best projects. It had tangible results interms of quality and production.
